i get so frustrated... when people say dissent is not american... when people say protesting the war is unamerican... when people say that questioning the government just isn't appropriate *now.*
well i don't support this war. and i feel like protesting is the way to be heard.
free speech is american. protesting is american. there's nothing more american that speaking ones mind and peaceably assembling. if we shouldn't be questioning authority now, then when should we? should we wait until everything is ok before we complain?
